Inspiration comes in many forms …and artists come in many guises! Loved developing this meaningful and beautiful Dali-esque piece with Olive 🥰… out and about again in London.

Now that the dust has settled ... Many will be aware that the wonderful Tyra and Jake duo have taken on the hospitality side of the business building on the foundations of quality and care that the Brook family holds dear, creating a destination daytime cafe and evening restaurant in the town that we are lucky to call home - Budleigh Salterton! ♥️ Our feet haven’t touched the ground on the run up to christmas and while we’ve been working on the new arrangement we are endlessly grateful for all of the continued support of our wonderful customers 🤗

The Kitchen will be open up until the 24th December then back again from the 29th December. Angela, always contactable in the gallery by phone - 01395 443003 (which diverts), there by appointment at your convenience and really happy to pop down for any last minute ‘urgents’.

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all ♥️❄️

Let’s do another MEET THE TEAM 🌟 … beginning of course with owner, director, curator Angela 🤩 (she doesn’t know we’re posting this!)
The devil works hard but Angela works harder… I’m certain most of you will know Angela, having taken over the gallery in 2007, she has been the face of the business for well over a decade.
The Brook business is her baby and she treats it as such, with pure love and dedication. We couldn’t have grown in the way we have or been able to introduce so many fantastic new elements to the business without all of Angela’s care and (often frantic) running around! 👏
She loves her work, loves the artists she gets the pleasure to work with and now loves the art café and team she gets to create with 🥰 and thank you to all our wonderful artists and customers who have supported us since 2007 ♥️ more meet the team on its way!!

Now we have seen the how… let’s take a look at the what! 🤿

Louise Scammell’s beautiful under water work featured in our current exhibition, ‘Waterworld’ 🌊

‘My work stems from a lifetime passion of the sea and the wealth of life it supports. It is an environment which has fascinated me from an early age and I have been fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful and inspiring area. The diversity of this subject provides me with an endless supply of ideas to use in my work’.

Photographs are as follows:
1 - Reef Framed
2 - Sea Ghosts
3 - The Cunning Cuttlefish
4 - Moving Gently, Hope Spot
5 - Compass Jellyfish
6 - Crystal Jellyfish

Come visit Brook Kitchen and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat whilst marvelling at the wonderful exhibition we have on at the moment 💕 see you soon!
