We’re starting the week with this 1920s oak stationery cabinet on stand

Handsome and useful with a tambour front compartment, lovely oak grain and a rich, warm colour. Complete with a lift-off top and its original key, it’s perfect for keeping papers, correspondence and everyday essentials organised

Nicola is the featured dealer in our entrance this week with scrubbed pine, kitchenalia and more rusted pieces for the garden too

Peg has cast her discerning eye over this late 19thC French armoire and decided she rather likes it …

Softly timeworn paint with original mirrored doors and delicate carved detail. Inside are a pair of shelves, two drawers and a later hanging rail, making it practical as well as decorative

Constructed in sections for ease of movement and reassembly, as was traditional with large French wardrobes of the period

Reflecting the Victorian fascination with natural history we have a stunning botanical diorama beneath a convex glass dome from Charlotte up on the second floor here at Earsham Hall Antiques

Created from dried flowers and grasses, with trees carefully bound in silk, the arrangement forms a miniature woodland scene set against a mirrored surround

From c1900, pieces such as this were designed to bring the romance of the natural world indoors - decorative, atmospheric, and wonderfully evocative of the period

Just in we have an exceptional Japanese Kodansu cabinet with hand-worked brass fittings, original lacquer decoration, wonderfully worn patina and its original key with cloth tag - available from here at Earsham Hall Antiques

Decorated internally and externally with floral lacquer panels, concealed drawers and carrying handles, this rare little cabinet would originally have been used for valuables, documents or personal effects - it really is beautiful
