A very large pair of carved bookends depicting stylised Asian elephants.

Beautifully shaped and hand-carved from teak wood, each bookend represents the front half of an elephant, as these are hand carved they are therefore not completely identical. The elephants are solid and substantial, with rounded bodies, thick legs, and gently simplified forms that emphasise strength and presence.

Carved from richly toned teak, the bookends display a warm brown colour with visible natural grain. Subtle carved details such as the ears, eyes, and decorative harness-like elements around the head add character without excessive ornamentation. Each elephant half is mounted on a rectangular teak base, providing stability and a balanced, functional form.

Overall, these bookends combine sculptural appeal with practical use, offering a distinctive decorative accent, well suited to interiors featuring natural materials, vintage, or mid-century influences.

🔴 NOW SOLD - An exceptional high-quality overnight and attaché case, by W. Insall & Sons, Bristol, C. 1860.

Crafted from strong, durable leather and fitted with sturdy carrying handles and a brass lock. A fine example of quality craftsmanship, the case opens neatly through the centre, allowing both halves to lie fully open for easy access. The interior is beautifully finished in rich red Morocco leather, adding an elegant touch to its practical design.

One side offers generous space for overnight essentials, while the other is fitted with a leather flap incorporating three compartments for envelopes and two smaller slots intended for stamps. The central compartment bears the maker's label, while three leather loops below were designed to hold pencils. Secured by a leather thong and brass button, the flap opens to reveal an additional compartment behind, most likely intended for writing paper.

A superb and highly practical piece, combining elegant design with thoughtful functionality. An excellent addition for collectors of fine leather goods, writing accessories, or period travel equipment.

An early 20th-century Multiple Club Tennis Racket Press.

This impressive adjustable racket press is designed to hold up to sixteen lawn tennis rackets and features a tennis ball rack beneath. Constructed in oak, it remains in very good condition with an attractive colour and patina developed through years of use.

The rackets are stored between shaped wooden dividers and compressed using the cast-iron flywheel mechanism, helping to maintain their shape and prevent warping. The sliding compression block, which houses the wheel mechanism, is fitted with locating holes that correspond with a series of drilled holes in the steel guide bar. This allows the block to be repositioned according to the number of rackets being stored.

Its size and capacity suggest that it was originally intended for use in a tennis club, country house, school, or other institutional setting.

The base incorporating the tennis ball rack is a later addition, but it complements the press well and transforms it into an attractive free-standing piece of period tennis equipment. The base can easily be removed and dismantled for transport.

This 1952 Triumph 6T Thunderbird is a superb example of one of Triumph's most iconic post-war motorcycles.

Powered by the legendary 650cc pre-unit parallel twin engine, this machine carries Frame No. 30706 and Engine No. 6T 018171, and is registered in the UK as 478 YUT, having previously been registered overseas.

Introduced in 1949 as a more powerful successor to the Speed Twin, the Thunderbird was created to meet growing demand - particularly from the American market - for increased performance. Built for riders who wanted both style and performance, the Triumph Thunderbird became an instant success in the U.S. and remains one of the most recognisable classics of the 1950s. Today, early examples are treasured for their iconic look, robust engineering, and deep connection to post-war British motorcycling heritage.

A Vintage Styled Zebra Storage Trunk.

This exceptional travelling trunk is a striking blend of craftsmanship, character, and considered design. Thoughtfully hand-crafted from a combination of rich aged brown leather and newer leather, repurposed and composed to evoke the charm of a classic piece, it is likely a later creation inspired by traditional antique trunks. The exterior is distinguished by a bold zebra skin covering across the top and front, lending a unique yet sophisticated aesthetic.

Both durable and visually impressive, the trunk is beautifully detailed with reinforced leather corners, copper tacks, brass pins, and two working brass locks (without keys), all contributing to its refined yet robust construction. Substantial leather carry handles and outer leather banding enhance both its practicality and authentic appearance.

The interior opens to reveal a charming red and white cotton ticking lining, preserving its vintage-inspired appeal. In great, usable condition, this bespoke and well-built traveller's trunk offers an ideal balance of style and function.
