NEW GUITAR DAY! I had the pleasure of handing this absolute stunner over to its new owner on Sunday.

This is the biggest spec Pioneer P2 yet, and much to my delight, it’s a lefty! It features a 2pc flamed Limba body, 3pc Limba neck, ebony fretboard, and a gorgeous ziricote top and matching headstock veneer. It’s kitted out with a fully Locky tremolo that’s also fully floating and hipshot locking machine heads. Alchemy Pickups being the big guns in this one with their high output ‘Hartshorn’ humbuckers with the neck on a push/pull coil split and the bridge on a push/pull series/parallel and of course a Puretone 4 point jack socket so the jack cable is securely locked in.

This is also the first guitar out of the workshop featuring our new lightweight, easy grip k***s, complete with ‘Tricorn’ inlays!

If I’m perfectly honest, this was a hard one to hand over, it’s a very special guitar, but it couldn’t have gone to a better home. I’ll be talking about its new owner in more detail soon because you may be seeing more of them in the channel in the not so distant future!

NEW BASS DAY! Ok so some of you will have seen this little terror at the the other weekend, being used by .duke.bass in his clinic, and there’s a good reason for that… Andy helped me come up with the crazy pick up configuration (supplied by ) and more importantly the bridge pick up placement. This short scale Pioneer bass (30”) sounds absolutely huge with a 52P in the neck and a T-Bird out of position bridge p’up. Wired to a master volume, blend and master tone, there’s way more sounds than we anticipated in this little thing. From 4001 to T-bird to Tele Bass, it’s all here and more!

This model has a 2pc Obeche body, a maple neck and fingerboard and is finished in flip paint, because I believe bassists deserve to be seen!

The Pioneer Short Scale will have its own model page on the website in the coming days, there will also be footage on YouTube soon from the live clinic Andy did at the Woking guitar show - I’ll make sure to add the video to the model page for all to see.

It was great to have the amazing in the studio today. It was good fun to chat about and play a wide variety of lefty guitars, from Sire, and as well as the left handed Privateer of course! He was also kind enough to give me a crash course on the Quad and Nano cortex devices! 🤯

Always nice to see and his Custom T in the studio - a few tweaks today ahead of some upcoming filming and it sounds monstrous through the Hot Modded Marvel - especially when knocked into Pos 4 (series)!

Back in the swing of things now and straight back on the orders. This Privateer Custom has been spec’d up like a telecaster but without the clunky bridge and with 4 way wiring… because 4 is always better than 3! 😜

NGD : The newest member of the Privateer range, the Classic! These Jnr types are built with light weight obeche bodies and necks (complete with carbon reinforcement), ebony or rosewood boards and an ebony headstock face. This one is equipped with Grover kidney bean machine heads, a Golden Age wrap over and intonatable bridge and as with all Privateer models, the super classy k***s. This one is also loaded with a 56 Dog Ear P90 or plenty of bite! Any fans of figured redwood out there? This custom spec’d Pioneer P2T (T = Tremolo Model) has just had its top coats applied and now needs to cure for a few weeks before we flat and polish it.

Although this one is already sold, it will still be on display at the upcoming next month… and if you ask the owner REALLY nicely, he might just let you play it before he takes it home!
