I like a bit of symmetry in life, and this bike (Genesis Longitude) definitely has that. It was one of the first bikes I ever worked on when I started The Cogfather 10 years ago this month, and it will be the last bike I work on, as Ben, my colleague, is taking over the business and I am going back to my old job as an area manager for Bianchi. I’m very proud of the business, it’s profitable, sustainable and busier than ever (and we are moving towards 100 5 star google reviews) but it’s time for me to let a younger guy (and tbh a much better mechanic) take over the reigns. It will be in safe hands with Ben, and he will continue to service the same mid-Sussex area that The Cogfather has always covered, plus his home area around South Godstone, Crawley and beyond. Thank you to all our customers past and present for making the business as busy as it is, and long may that continue under Bens ownership. ‘It’s been emotional’ as the great Vinny Jones once said!
