Flutterbies 🦋

I've had this piece of wood for a while now and knew I wanted to incorporate it with my glass but just couldn't think of how to do it. Well, now I have! I even used some of my posh dichroic glass on it too 🤩

All different shades of purple, mostly iridescent so it shimmers like a real wing would. I don't know about you guys and girls, but I adore how it's turned out!

This lil guy will be coming with me to the Danbury Open Gardens tomorrow. If you're in the area, pop by and say hello. We'll be on the green, just off the main road, and there'll be lots of refreshments and cake. There's always got to be cake! 😉

Next on the list...

Lapel pins and bouquets 💐 I've run out of the green I loved though, so a slight compromise on these few to make them all match until an order comes through (that hopefully will be super duper similar 😆)

These will become lapel pins for best man, father of the bride and groomsman, along with two for the bridal bouquet 💖 I need to cut out a LOT more petals for the others, but slowly getting there.

I emptied out the shop that I had lots of my stock in as nothing was selling, but I found this lil guy in the mix. I forgot how much I love these little flumblebees. I think I'll make some more.

Should I venture into a few random colours while I'm at it? Or do you guys and girls prefer bees to be the standard yellow and black? Please let me know in the comments 👉🏻👈🏻🥹

How beautiful is this? This is what my lovely friend made me as an engagement gift ❤️ it currently resides in our kitchen and when the sunshine finds it, it is absolutely beautiful 😍

I have been lost in a world of packing boxes for months now, so making jewellery has taken a back seat 🫣
But after making a gemstone tree for an engagement present, I am itching to set up my new workshop and start making again...

When you run out of the colour you love...

I was gifted the most perfect colour for my wedding pieces and I've not got to the point where I've used it all up 🥺
If anyone knows what colour this is, I'd very much appreciate being told the colour so that I can hopefully purchase some more... All I know is that it had a sticker showing it was made by 👉🏻👈🏻🥹 (I've added a photo of each side of the glass sheet before I cut it all up on the main photo)

Please can we also take a moment to firstly appreciate the use of space in that last tiny piece of glass, and also to mourn the loss of what has become my favourite coloured glass.

Need I say any more?! Well, as I didn't have time last night to clean her, it was the first thing I did as soon as I got home from my Muggle job. I'm so glad I did too, she's stunning 😍

Oh wow. I mean, oh fecking wow! 🤩

This all still needs to be cleaned properly and set on a small wooden base, but I honestly think that this is the most beautiful wedding cake topper there ever has been 😍

For anyone wanting to know how much time it's taking me to make pieces for my own wedding, this one has taken me well over 12 hours to complete, 5 hours was just soldering!! 😮 I'm trying so hard to work it out, but as I do it in stages, it's extremely difficult. It was 1 day in the workshop cutting and grinding, 6 lunch breaks foiling everything, then 5 hours to finish....

So more likely, it's taken me over 15 hours! 🦋

One thing I'm slightly sad about, is that I've used up the remainder of that gorgeous green glass and as it was gifted to me, I've no idea what colour it is 🤦🏻‍♀️ however, the beautiful dichroic I've used is from my special hoard so I'm happy it's finally seeing the light of day 🤩

Our wedding cake topper flower is well underway now. I designed this on a post-it note and somehow it ended up three times the size! But, I'm going to roll with it (for now anyway) as I'm a)curious and b)why the hell not?

It looks good enough to eat right? 😋 Alfie thinks so! Even when it's not real food, he's still hopeful of getting fed treats 😂 bless his little cotton socks 🥰

This is heading upstairs to the bedroom and will store some of my little trinkets and jewellery in. Hopefully I won't wake up in the middle of the night feeling peckish 🤭
