After serving the people of Burntisland for many a number of years, we are extremely sad to announce that Chapter & Verse Burntisland will close its doors for the final time on January 31st 2026.

Colin, Shona and their fantastic team of volunteers would like to thank all our wonderful customers for their support and encouragement over the years. It has been very much appreciated.

In the lead up to closure, by way of thanks, all stock will immediately be available at half price. No exceptions. We hope to open as usual Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday but please bear with us as our opening hours depend upon the availability of our volunteers.

Looking for an exciting new challenge? Then Chapter & Verse on Burntisland High Street needs you!

Our Church shop is looking for a volunteer manager(s) as the lovely couple who are the current managers retire at the end of this year. It would be great to have a new manager(s) in place by the start of 2026.

If you have, or had, banking, retail, management, accountancy or buying experience then it may be an idea opportunity to make use of your skills and serve the community. This role could also be serviced by a small team led by a manager having overall control.

We sell a large selection of both religious and secular greeting cards, bibles & books, crafts from Olive Tree Scotland supporting people in the Holy Land and on the Scottish theme we also have a large new selection of Glen Appin Harris Tweed bags & purses that can be ordered in various colours and styles, ladies Scottie dog socks, gents Saltire socks, children’s tartan hair bands, scrunchies and bows and Highland Coo Pom Pom key rings and small ornaments 🥰

We also sell jams and marmalades on behalf of Erskine United Free Church, booklets on behalf of Burntisland Heritage Trust and Burntisland Crest Pin Badges on behalf of Burntisland - Flekkefjord Town Twinning.

A new crafter has painted watercolour cards and delivery of new jewellery has also arrived. Did you know most of our stock is sourced from local producers?! So why not shop local and visit us here in Burntisland 😀 You’ll always be guaranteed a warm welcome! 💛
