Part Time Counter Assistant
16 hours wk
With flexibility for extra hours for holiday cover.

We are a small but busy butcher shop looking for a friendly and reliable part-time counter assistant to join our team.

Duties include serving customers, handling payments, preparing orders, and helping keep the shop clean and tidy. Good customer service skills - energetic - and a positive attitude are essential. Experience is preferred but not required as training can be provided.

To all you Hot Sauce lovers out there - we’ve got a great range of sauces in the shop just now, supplied by a small Scottish business’ BRAW SAUCES’
We’ve been working our way through them in the shop and they are fantastic. From mild, to really hot & all made with natural ingredients …. And a great wee play on the Scottish language too 🤣 great wee business - give them a shot! There’ll be samples out on the counter tomorrow & Saturday.

We’ve got a lovely buttermilk chicken on for this weekend. Perfect in one of our flat breads.

A lovely hot honey pork chop, filled with feta & a crunchy crumb.

Halloumi chicken is back on too - with a sweet Chinese style marinade, chilli & spring onion.

Turkey Meat balls are getting prepped tomorrow- with a lovely new fruity & spicy sauce

Hopefully the sun comes out this weekend 🤞 it’s certainly nice to see a bit lighter nights!

Well, what’s the plans for the weekend?
Are we just leaving it to the young team these days, or is there still a bit of romance happening?!

Whatever you’re upto, we’ve got lots of choice in the shop this weekend!
( We’re still keeping our fingers crossed for more Marry Me Chicken ( a great time for that dish!) it’s been a popular one and we sold out quicker than expected. Hopefully it’ll be back in time for Saturday.)

Our Beef goulash is back for the season too - a lovely tomato based sauce with diced rump steak, black pudding, mixed vegetables & bell peppers - perfect with boiled rice.

Our Tuscan style Chicken Goujons - a little spicy & full of flavour. - perfect with some flat breads & salad.

For those of you that enjoy a nice steak, we’ve got a great deal on our Scottish Sirloins - 2 x 8 oz Steaks + any steak night sauce of your choice for £15 👍

We’re all ready for Burns night on Sunday! Are you?

Our Burns Steak Stacks are on the go this week too.

A whisky & Black pepper Fillet Steak, topped with our own make haggis, creamy mash potato with a peppercorn sauce centre & wrapped in a lattice puff pastry - add some mashed turnip on the side - perfect!

The Turkeys are all done and now we’re gearing up for the Haggis!

I have to say, we’ve been enjoying this one! We’ve had lots of tasting this past few days & we’ve got a great range of dishes for the Haggis 👍

Alongside our Traditional Haggis Balls - we’ve got:

Haggis Nachos - our own make Haggis, mozzarella, cheddar, jalapeño,fresh chillies & pepper sauce - it’s a tasty one!

Haggis Stacks - Haggis, Neeps & Tatties, wrapped in bacon - grab a little peppercorn sauce to pour over & it’s the best comfort food on a cold night.

Haggis Parcels - with a peppercorn sauce centre - Always a popular one in the shop!

Haggis, Neeps & Tattie Pies - filled with peppercorn sauce - they’re 10/10

Chicken Balmorals - A great Choice, fresh Chicken Fillet, filled with our own make haggis and wrapped in lean bacon - they’re a good size, so you don’t need a lot with them. Grab a little peppercorn sauce to pour over - perfect!

Stay tuned for our Whisky & Black Pepper Burns Steak Stacks - they’ll be out in the counter tomorrow too!

We can’t thank you all enough - it’s so very appreciated.

All of our hard work is coming to an end and we’d like to thank every one of you for your valued custom & support - we’ve got a great wee butchers here in kinghorn & its all thanks to you.

We wish you all the happiest of New Years - Get stuck in to your Steak Pies ( with a nice red wine!) and we’ll see you all on 6th January !
