The first thing I'd noticed upon making planetfall was that the tiled flooring of the landing bay seemed to be made from a series of magazines*, laid out in a repeating pattern.

I was trying to making sense of this when a foul odour distarted me attention. My hairs hairs bristled at the arrival of my faithful aide Jugen. He clumsily rifled though his collection of hidden pockets and produced a flask of tanna tea from deep within his overcoat. I gleefully wrapped my augmented fingers around a cup and my thoughts returned to the mission at hand.

*Cain, as ever, continue to neglect the finer details of his adventures. The publication in question is White Dwarf issue 528 which features a wealth of exciting information about the Ogor Mawtribes and is available now -Inquisitor Vail

Good afternoon folks!

You may have noticed a flurry of activity today on our page! All our anniversary events and activities are now up and live in our events sections so you can start getting excited about everything that you can come down and get involved with over the full nine days. I'm painting Ciaphas Cain up now for his daring escape from the Necron Tomb world and he has been a joy so far. A jawline even Rogal Dorn himself would be envious of and a true Hero of the Imperium!

We've also received samples of all the Anniversary Gifts which are out on display for you to pop in and have a look at. The gaming mat is mega! Fully twice the size of previous gifts and just perfect for a full game of Combat Patrol.

It's Wednesday. You know what that means!

Normal service is resumed thus I can (with great excitement) share the progress Stefan is making on his Redd the Maw! A fellow Contrast Paint enjoyer- the red hot coals beneath Redd's gristle-streaked Mawpot are a sight to behold. I daresay they're so realistic I could make S'mores off them... 🔥

It's Sunday and around these parts that means we're focusing on Battle Honours.

Charlie's been in this morning learning all about how his grizzly Space Wolves can best defeat the heavy armour of his friend's Astra Militarum and I've been picking away at the miniatures for some of the drop-in activities for our anniversary.

Beastmen Bowling is coming together nicely- Ciaphas Cain is next!

If there's anything you'd like some advice or hands-on guidance with within your hobby we'll be here today until 16:00 for you to drop in and seek the wisdom of da Warboss!

It's a little over three weeks to go until the store's anniversary and we're here preparing the bits and pieces for some of the many drop-in activities that will be running over the 9-day celebration.

For the first game we'll be dipping into Warhammer: The Old World so get your templates and your artillery dice ready for some Beastman Bowling!

Afternoon folks!

It's time for a Thin-coat Thursday. It's a bit like a Work in Progress Wednesday but for people whose phone seems to have stopped being able to send photographs to their laptop. I'll be leaving the offending device beneath Belisarius Cawl tonight in hopes that its machine spirit can be soothed by the will of the Omnissiah.

Meanwhile: ULTRAMARINES!

Jay's been painting Honour Captain Eothrus from the Armageddon box and there's some truly wonderful spots of detail to be found. From the carefully painted script on Eothrus' oaths of moment to the glowing amber of his activated power sword- Jay's put so much time into this Captain stands out on the battlefield as his role dictates he should!
