Who loves a list?

I know I couldn’t function without a daily list.

Always at the top of my list is - make a cuppa!

This is for 2 reasons, firstly I find it difficult to operate without one and then I can tick one thing off my list immediately - it’s the little wins!!😊

I’m not sure about you but if I do a food shop without a list I get tempted and spend so much more than I plan/need to.

These do make the most perfect gifts too. Just incase you need an excuse it’s Mothers Day in a couple of weeks 😉.

Well this is creeping up stealthily. Just over a week before Valentines Day!

I used to think this was just another excuse for consumerism, but more recently it has dawned on me - that yes in extremes it can be an excuse to buy more and often with little thought - ‘need to get something oh that will do’ type thought process.

However with life getting faster and busier we often don’t make the time or make the effort to remind our loved ones just how important and special they are to us - I absolutely fall into this category.

So to have a day, whether it’s the 14th February or another day in the year, to slow down and appreciate each other, reconnect and have some fun is so important.

Don’t tell him (!) but I have found a prototype ergonomic pillow for my husband for this Valentine’s Day. When we go away in our camper van he never sleeps very well so I am hoping this will help 🤞.

Experiences are great. In the past we have gone out to the cinema, for long walks in the Peaks, visited museums etc just to spend time together and really talk. It doesn’t need to be heavy or ‘single use’ tat, just an opportunity to be closer. Something different and thoughtful.

Happy New Year.

Many apologies for being so quiet on here recently, there has been loads going on behind the scenes!😊

Anyway today I am out and about again and you can find me and lots of tea, coffee, cake, books, jigsaws, raffle (always a good one) etc at the WI Coffee Morning at the Scout HQ 10am - 12noon.

Gosh, well that’s a wrap!

Had an amazing 2 months with my daughter and grandson visiting, which has rather derailed my social media. They have sadly gone back to America now so it’s time to get active again.

Tomorrow I will be at Brailsford Ploughing Match in Barrow on Trent, in my Eco Shed on Thursday and then hosting my Macmillan Coffee Day - 10am until 6pm on Friday and back at my Eco Shed on Saturday. Come and find me at any of these places.
