I'm not sure if I've posted this before, but now is a great time to look out for reduced seed packets!

I've spotted them recently at both the garden centre and the supermarket, and they can be a real bargain.

The seeds will be perfectly fine to use next year, so it's worth having a look when you're doing your shopping.

I've picked up these ones, and I'm really hoping they end up looking as gorgeous as the photo on the packet! 😂🌸

I had a busy day yesterday and completely forgot to post. Sorry! But it's the summer holidays, so I'm going to let myself off. 😂

This jungle green plant pot cover needs a little bit of love. It used to be my best-selling design, but it definitely isn't anymore! I'm not quite sure what happened because I still love it. Maybe it's time for a comeback?

I think your garden shed deserves a little decorating too…

We spend so much time making our gardens pretty, but what about the little spaces where all the gardening actually happens? The shed, greenhouse, that chaotic corner where all the pots and trays stack up!

I’ve made this cheerful garden bunting especially for those spaces. It’s 100% cotton, 2 metres long with 10 double sided flags and is just the thing for hanging across a shed, greenhouse or potting bench.

Would you put bunting in your shed or greenhouse? Or am I the only one who thinks the plants need interior design too?

I’ve been busy photographing my new gardening bunting today, but it’s made me realise just how dusty and dead my lawn is! 😂

I think I’ll just have to embrace the slightly crispy lawn for now. The flowers are doing a much better job of making the garden look pretty.

How is your lawn looking after all this hot weather? Is yours still green, or have you given up on it too?

Here's the face behind the sewing machine!

I have to admit, I don't look this glamorous on a daily basis! Most days you'll find me in comfortable clothes, surrounded by fabric, thread, half-finished projects and probably a few muddy gardening jobs too.

I'm the person who designs, makes, packs and posts every order.

How gorgeous are these sunflowers? 🌻

They're growing in a field near our house, and every time I walk past them they make me smile. There's just something so cheerful about a field full of bright yellow flowers all turning their faces towards the sun.

What's the one flower that always makes you smile?

My autumn designs are slowly making their way back into my shop 🍂

I'm not sure I'm quite ready for it yet! It still feels like summer, even if the garden is looking a little tired after all this hot weather.

But I know how quickly the seasons change, and before we know it we'll be lighting candles, pulling on jumpers and enjoying cosy autumn days. So, little by little, my autumn collection is returning.

Are you ready for autumn, or are you hanging on to summer for as long as possible?

This hot, dry summer has really got me thinking about the future of my garden.

I'd already started making a few changes this year by cutting down on bedding plants and other annuals, and replacing them with more perennials in my pots. So far that's been a good decision.

The verbenas, salvias and cosmos have all coped really well, even though cosmos is an annual!

They've kept flowering despite the heat and have needed much less attention than some of the other plants.

Over the next few months I'm going to be making even more changes to make my garden more drought tolerant. I love my garden, but I also want to choose plants that can cope better with long, dry spells and need less watering.

I'd really love to hear what's been thriving in your garden this summer. Which plants have coped best with the heat and lack of rain? Hopefully we can all share a few ideas and help each other discover some brilliant drought-tolerant plants for next year.
