And we’re nearly at the end of the week again before I get on here … must try harder I know!

A couple of new things in the shop this week to tell you about - new sock yarns, accessories patterns and mini weaving looms ❤️

Behind the scenes I managed to sort out the new bins for the shop this week after the HUGEST bin ever arrived … the excitement is too much … got myself registered for a trade show coming up in a couple of weeks, looking forward to that … and I even managed a bit of knitting at home, whoop whoop 🙌

Ollie’s only been gone a week but I’m happy to report that my withdrawal symptoms will be eased on Sunday as we’re going to see Car Man at Sadlers Wells 🥰 thank heavens for the shop keeping me busy!!

I think I’ve found the coolest spot in the shop - in the corner by the 4 ply yarn - bliss! So if you see me sitting on the stool today, I haven’t been a naughty girl, just trying to keep cool I promise 😂😂

And a reminder that the shop is closed tomorrow, Thursday - not to digest A level results (good luck everyone waiting for theirs tomorrow) … Joe and I move Ollie into his new 3rd year flat, last year of his Dance course … packing all his stuff up at the mo, my baby’s leaving home! (Be warned … the ugly tears/blubbing can happen at any time this week 😂)

I don’t know where this week has gone, been busy sorting and tidying stock as new bits come in … and trying to make space for the impending arrival of Autumn/Winter yarns!

- top ups in Haberdashery and Books
- sorting out 100% wools and sock yarns in the 4 ply boxes
- Felting wool and tools back in after a lot of requests 😀
- Halloween top ups coming in next week …
- some sewing books are now keeping the knitting books company

… now to get the Christmas advent panels and fat quarters topped up for the week 💪

CHARITY BOOK SALE … Ollie’s moving out next week into a flat for the last year of his Dance course … so I’m having a bit of a sort out at home, hence the charity book sale we have in the shop - I don’t think many of these have ever been opened 😂 donations for WISH would be greatly appreciated - there are only children’s books in there, thank you for your support 😘

Bury’s been really buzzing today and we’ve had a lovely busy time in the shop, not least sorting out a delivery from Rico … a couple of very lovely yarns and this spooky lot for your Halloween projects 👻

These are all in the shop now and on our website - we have all the supplies you might need for the projects included in the pattern book too!

And the shop’s back open!

My apologies again for being closed this week - am very happy to report the bug has gone 😀

Well it’s not often I get wiped out by a bug, but this week … ugh!

The shop will be closed again today but I hope to be there tomorrow - I’m really sorry for any inconvenience - trust me, I’d rather have been at the shop 😂

Great start to the week - the shop will be closed today thanks to a sickly bug arriving overnight!

Sorry for the short notice and any inconvenience - all being well and with plenty of the pink stuff the shop will be back open tomorrow ❤️

What’s a girl to do on the morning after the most fabulous night before??

A very late night getting back home BUT … OMG … Bruno Mars 🥰 at Wembley last night was ABSOLUTELY most definitely worth it - my voice has just about come back, legs and feet still shaking from all the “mum dancing” but what a night!! 😂

So a fat quarter topping up day and a very large Americano is in order for this tired old bird!!

Our 100% cotton fat quarters measure 50cm x 55cm and are a quilting weight cotton. We’ve got a selection of plains, patterned and blenders - buy any 4 to get a multiply discount too!

Anyone else see the show? I’ll try to stop going on about it in the shop I promise!!

❤️ New (to us) yarn alert ❤️

We’ve extended our range of Malabrigo yarns with their “Sock” range - a 100% superwash merino wool, light fi*****ng yarn.

Some very lovely shades have arrived today along with a top up of “Ultimate Sock” and “Arroyo”.

Just need to work out where we put them!! 😂

Happy Tuesday morning!

A quick heads up just in case we have to close for a bit today - we have a smart meter being fitted and another meter being removed so for a short time our power will be turned off … I don’t know when yet so please bear with me, I’ll try to keep the shop open where safely possible.

The first job is happening as I write so that’s almost one done! 😀
