Introducing the competitors for this Thursday’s Throwdown! Oooooo it’s gonna be an absolute cracker of evening, I can tell! 😉🧡

This event is free to spectate, just make sure you arrive early, no “fashionably late” vibes please... There are raffle tickets available for purchase (link in de biooooo) and the prizes are tastyyyyy. 😉

As always, best of luck to the above competitors! Bring your A game and you may be walking home with one of the following;

You might come across our new autumn blend! 🍂

Between Trees embodies the season (my fav season!) with tasting notes of wild blackberries, candied chestnuts and cacao. Our head of QC and sensory has YET AGAIN outdone himself. On my travels around the world, I notice more and more quality independent specialty coffee shops focusing on Mixology, coffee mocktails if you like.

Hand-crafted drinks lend themselves to artisan produced coffees and hotter climates. With the hotter summers here to stay in the UK, our head of Sensory, Will Greavner 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗻𝗲𝗿 explores this new trend and provides a few recipes.

In true Butterworth international style, not only does Will provide recipes but we have two from Latin America. The first two recipes come to us from one of my dear friends in Mexico, Adrian eladrianreyes at Maldito Cafe MALDITOcafé in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

Adrian runs a fantastic coffee shop single-handed and focuses on coffee mixology masterfully. He’s graciously given us a couple of his favourite coffee-based cold remedies for facing the tropical Mexican Pacific climate.
