Right.
Apparently, flowers are βtoo expensive.β π¬πΈπΈ
I hear it all the time. π€―
Usually from someone holding a Β£7 coffee, scrolling Instagram on a Β£1,200 phone, while explaining that Β£40 for a hand-tied bouquet is outrageous. π
But sure. The florist is the problem. π
Let me explain this slowlyβ¦
Youβre not paying Β£40 for βsome flowers.β π·
Youβre paying forβ¦
πΈ The fresh stock arriving several times a week.
πΈ The hours spent conditioning and caring for every stem.
πΈ The rent, rates, insurance, electricity and water.
πΈ The ribbons, wrapping, boxes and bags.
πΈ The staff being paid.
πΈ The delivery van on the road.
πΈ The card machine taking its little cut every time you tap.
πΈ And the fact that when a wedding flower order changes at 9pmβ¦ itβs me rearranging everything.
Youβre not just buying flowers. π
Youβre buying the moment someone smiles when they open the door.
β€οΈ The bouquet that says βI love you.β
β€οΈ The flowers that welcome a new baby.
β€οΈ The arrangement that says βIβm sorry.β
β€οΈ The tribute that says goodbye when words arenβt enough.
Flowers arenβt a necessity.
But neither are birthday cakes, holidays, or date nights.
Some things exist simply to bring joy, comfort and connection. πΈ
And hereβs the bit I find fascinatingβ¦
The same people who say flowers are too expensive are often the first to say how important it is to support local businesses. π‘
We donβt just sell flowers.
We sell:
π Anniversaries.
π Celebrations.
π Congratulations.
π Comfort.
π Memories.
π Moments people never forget.
If you want cheap, grab a supermarket bunch and hope for the best. π€·ββοΈ
But please donβt confuse low cost with value.
Anyway, Iβll be over hereβ¦ apparently overcharging for flowers, years of experience, creativity, and making people smile. π·π
