Walnut Allotments & East Ward Growing Together Walnut Avenue Allotments Association, inc. our community allotment East Ward Growing Together We are an urban allotment on 3 sites.

We have a shop for all your horticultural needs (open to the public as well as members), on site chickens and a lot of great people. We have recently opened a new community allotment called East Ward Growing Together. This is open for all ages and abilities. We encourage members of the local community to come and visit us to take part in activities or just to sit and have a brew and a chat. Please see events for up and coming activities.

We had a lovely day, yesterday, at our Spring Crafts event. A wee bit despondent in the morning beacause ot the weather but then the sun came out and we all had a lovely time planting bulbs to take home, colouring wooden Easter eggs and ring making. A big thank you to Next Stage A Way Forward Ltd for attending and members from and members of the wider commuity. We couldn't have done all this without the support of Persona Care and Support who are promoting a way of life after 50.

Hi everyone, we are holding an Easter Spring Crafts event on Friday 27th March 2026. Lots of spring crafts to try, soup and a roll to keep warm. Lots of fun waiting for you all. Wow, what a fabulous afternoon. We entertained to a Christmas afternoon. With lots of songs, carols and Christmas nibbles with alcohol free mulled wine. It was lovely to see old friends and new. One of our visitors said we had made his Christmas... brought a lump to my throat!! Huge thanks to Jan, Maxine and Sue, my amazing volunteers and thanks to staff and clients -awayforward and Forever Manchester for supporting today's event.
