A consultation process will open on Monday 8th September and run through to the 1st October 2025.

The project, which forms part of the Causeway Coast and Glens Growth Deal, aims to design a new, modern, and fit-for-purpose leisure centre on the existing Railway Road site. 🏊‍♀️🏸🤸‍♀️

Really pleased to be at yesterday’s meeting of the Ballymoney Town Centre Forum- a great chance for local businesses, councillors and council staff to work together on what’s ahead for the town.

We covered loads:
🟡 getting ready for the Hallowe’en 🎃 and Christmas 🎄 events
🟡 reviewing the High Street improvement works
🟡 looking at getting better signage in the town centre
🟡 discussing ideas for filling vacant shops
🟡 exploring how to make Castlecroft more sheltered for the Country Market

Because the rooms in the Town Hall were all in use, we met in the old Council Chamber at Riada House. My first time there (apart from a school trip many years ago!), and a nice reminder of Ballymoney’s civic history.

• Identifying possible offenders.
• Preventing incidents of crime.
• The power to detain.

The workshops are FREE and open to all businesses within the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area.

The workshop will be delivered by PSNI, Crime Prevention Officers and supported by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Town & Village Management and PCSP Teams

Unfortunately, due to lack of demand, the Shop Safe Workshop scheduled to take place this evening at the Marine Hotel, Ballycastle has had to be cancelled.

Luckily we still have another Safe Shop Workshop happening next Tuesday 12 November at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine.
