SOLD. The Long Trip: A Prehistory of Psychedelia by Paul Devereux. A fascinating exploration of altered states of consciousness throughout the ages, with experiences recounted beautifully by writers like Baudelaire, Burroughs, De Quincey and Huxley. A nice copy overall with a small tear at cover-spine join and occasional very light underlines in pencil by a fairly thoughtful reader. £8. DM or comment to claim.

A huge thanks to the traders who made yesterday's book fair such a success, and, of course, the book buying public who dropped by the venue and the shop throughout the day. A lot of printed matter passing through a lot of hands!

New in! Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster (Sphere, U.K., 2nd reprint 1981). The novel originally intended as the basis for a direct low-budget sequel to Star Wars before the huge success of the film led to the opportunity to film The Empire Strikes Back instead, this and the early comic strips kick started the extended Star Wars universe. A nice tight copy with the owner's name penned in on the first page and a small nick at the top of the back cover. £15. DM or comment to claim.
