An invitation – come rain or shine. 🌧️☕
Lady Hyder and Lady Lucas-Hughes would be delighted if you’d promenade with them this Saturday, 29 August, at 10.30am – a Grand Tour of Buxton for Heritage Weekend.
And because the forecast’s a touch damp, they’re adding a little warmth: every person who joins will be treated to a complimentary Chocolatl – the spiced cinnamon-and-cayenne hot chocolate – or an equivalent, at the wonderful Hot Chocolaterie. Just as many Georgians took their chocolate.

📍 From St Ann’s Well, by the Pump Room on The Crescent although we may shelter in the Pump Room until almost the moment of departure.
☔ A little rain shall not deter us – bring a brolly and your best spirits. We shall stay under cover as much as ever we possibly can with the possibility of the odd unseemly dash between buildings when needs must. You may be in waterproofs and umbrellas. We will be in the inappropriate dresses of the time. We will allow you to laugh.
