Hello, I thought I better introduce myself. I'm Dani, a resident of the enchanting town of Buxton, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Peak District. With my husband and our young explorer by my side, I've traded in my plastering tools for the wonders of parenthood and the serenity of our natural surroundings.
As we venture through the Peaks, my son's wide-eyed wonder at the world around him has sparked a newfound appreciation for the beauty in simplicity. It was amidst these moments of discovery that the idea for Cast in the Peaks took shape – a tribute to the raw beauty of our surroundings.
Drawing inspiration from the very rocks that form the foundation of our landscape, each piece is crafted with care, hand-poured, finished, and sealed to preserve its natural charm. My first collection is a homage to the diverse geology of the Peak District, featuring elements inspired by the Limestone of the White Peak and the Gritstone and Sandstone of the Dark Peak.
Through the eyes of a child, every imperfection becomes a unique feature, every texture a source of fascination.
I hope you will enjoy further collections as I continue to create more pieces inspired from my journeys in this beautiful part of the country.
