We’re back open following our refurbishment! 🥳

Thanks to some fantastic funding support, we’ve been able to refresh the shop space and make it even more welcoming for everyone who visits, donates or volunteers with us.

Whether you’re popping in for a browse, dropping off donations, or just saying hello, we can’t wait to see you during our opening hours:

Our Buxton shop is closed from today (Monday 16th March) while we carry out refurbishment work.💙

We’re using grant funding to complete these improvements, helping us refresh the shop for the benefit of our local community.

While the shop is closed, we’re unable to accept donations in Buxton. If you’re able to support us in the meantime, donations can be taken to any of our other high street shops, or to our donation depot in Bridgemont.

We understand this may not be handy for everyone and we’re very grateful for your patience while the work takes place. We’ll keep you updated on our re-opening date and can’t wait to welcome you back to a beautifully refreshed shop soon.

The High Peak Winter Ready Roadshow is coming to Blythe House tomorrow, Monday, 12th January from 1.30 to 2.45pm.💙

If you’re caring for a loved one, join us for the informal drop-in session with our specialist team and local organisations, offering practical advice and support to help you stay safe, warm and well this winter.

The Roadshow marks the return of our monthly carers drop-in sessions for 2026; held on the second Monday of every month, offering a relaxed, welcoming space to:
➡️ Chat with other carers
➡️Find out what help is available locally
➡️Get expert advice and emotional support

Every donation helps us raise vital funds to support local hospice care. A simple guide to donating:
✔️ If you’d buy it, we can sell it
✔️ Clean, complete and in good condition

To help us make the most of your generosity, please only donate during shop opening hours. Items left outside doorways can be damaged by bad weather and sadly can’t be sold, which means additional disposal costs for the hospice.

Have you received any gifts for Christmas that you’re probably never going to use? They may end up sitting in your cupboard gathering dust! We would be delighted to accept them from you to stock our fundraising tombolas in 2026! 🎁

You can bring unopened or unwanted gifts to any of our six shops in Bakewell, Buxton, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Matlock, New Mills and Whaley Bridge during opening hours! Or drop them into the Blythe House Hospice reception, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Thank you so much for your support! 💙
