Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot…..

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you’re making the most of the summer and yet another heatwave ☀️

We’re back open today with our cold store filled with beautiful fresh flowers, ready to fulfil all our wonderful customer orders this week.

As we all know, we’re in for another scorcher, with temperatures set to climb well into the late 20s and even 30s 🥵 So, to help us maintain the quality and freshness of our flowers, we’ll be ordering little and often throughout the week — keeping everything as fresh as possible from our door to yours.

We’ll also be sharing a few stories with some simple tips on how to keep your flowers fresher for longer during this hot and humid weather. Neither the heat nor humidity are particularly good friends of our delicate petals, but we adapt, keep everything cool and do what we can! 🌿

It’s another lovely busy week at The Flower Den, with a beautiful wedding to prepare for on Saturday and lots more gorgeous flowery things happening behind the scenes.

☀️ A few important updates for this week ☀️

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all having fun in the sun and making the most of this glorious weather!

Just a few updates from us this week:

🚚 Deliveries
We’ll be delivering as normal up until Friday, however there will be no deliveries on Saturday.

💐 Pre-orders
With the hot weather continuing, we’re encouraging customers to pre-order wherever possible.

To keep our flowers at their absolute best, we’re reducing the size of our daily flower deliveries and only bringing in what we need from our suppliers. While our lovely cool store does a fantastic job of keeping everything fresh, this helps us maintain the quality and freshness you expect from The Flower Den, while also reducing unnecessary waste.

🐝 Saturday
Kathryn and Molly will be holding the fort on Saturday while I’m up in Swindon flowering for—and celebrating at—my sister-in-law’s wedding. So exciting! 🎉

Karen is also off, so if you’re popping into the shop, please say hello to Kath and Moll and show them a little love. I’m sure they’ll really appreciate it.

We had the absolute pleasure of decorating the beautiful private dining room at The Priory for a very special hen celebration. 💕

The room was already stunning, but adding our floral centrepiece and collection of delicate bud vases available to hire brought the whole table to life with soft, romantic touches. 🌸✨

It’s getting hot, hot, hot… ☀️

With temperatures set to climb again over the next 10 days, we’ll be reducing our fresh flower orders to better match demand and customer pre-orders.

This helps us ensure every bouquet is as fresh as possible while also reducing unnecessary waste – something that’s really important to us.

If you’re planning to treat someone (or yourself!) over the next week or so, we’d really appreciate you pre-ordering where possible. It helps us plan better and means we can have your flowers ready and waiting for you.

🌿 A little heads-up for this week! 🌿

Den is taking a well-earned holiday, leaving The Flower Den in the very capable hands of the lovely Karen and Kathryn to look after all your flowery needs. 🌸

For this week only, we’ll be operating slightly shorter opening hours and will be open Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–3pm.

As we’re a florist down, we’d really encourage pre-ordering wherever possible so the team can plan ahead and make sure we have everything ready for you.

Please be kind to them – they’re wonderful, but they can’t clone themselves (although I’m sure they’ve wished they could at times! 😉).

Well hello, Tuesday

And just like that, we’re back open and ready for the week ahead!

Our doors are open from 9:30am – 4:00pm today, and the flower stand is looking particularly gorgeous. In fact, these blooms are quickly becoming some of our firm favourites of the season.

So whether you’ve already placed an order for this week, have a special occasion to celebrate, or simply fancy treating yourself “just because” – this is the kind of floral vibe you can expect.

Soft, romantic, seasonal and full of character… and honestly? We’re completely obsessed.

Hello June. May - what a month you turned out to be!

We had the absolute privilege of creating flowers for 5 beautiful weddings, 9 farewell tributes, and making over 250 bouquets for so many wonderful people.

Oh - and the heat, dis we mention the heat ☀️ ☀️

Our garden has been bursting with summer plants, and our shop has been filled with flowers, laughter and some truly lovely customers.

Thank you for every order, recommendation, like, share and kind words. Your support means the world to us, and we’ve loved it all.

Here’s to a blooming June, more weddings, laughs and hopefully just a bit on the cooler side (please)

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of creating these stunning wedding flowers, and what a beautiful day it was.

The bride wanted something a little different — a bouquet full of personality and modern elegance. Soft blush pink orchids cascaded through the design, paired with sculptural white calla lilies and fresh green anthuriums to create a bouquet that felt both romantic and contemporary.

Thank you both for trusting me with such an important part of your wedding day. It was a real honour to play a small part in your celebrations and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
