Gwennol gyntaf y flwyddyn

Mae’r wennol gyntaf newydd hofran yn ôl dros ein iard ac mae’n teimlo fel arwydd go iawn bod y dyddiau ysgafnach yma eto. Maen nhw wedi bod yn nythu o amgylch ein lle ers blynyddoedd bellach, felly mae’n foment arbennig bob tro mae un yn ymddangos.

Mae’r gwanwyn ar ei ffordd, yn araf ond yn sicr.

First swallow of the year

The first swallow has just swooped back over our yard and it feels like a proper sign that the lighter days are here again. They’ve been nesting around our place for years now, so it’s always a special moment when one appears.

Spring is on its way, slowly but surely.

Ymwelodd plant lleol â ni’n ddiweddar i ofyn rhai cwestiynau am Waith Llechi Inigo Jones, fel rhan o’u prosiect “Ein Hanes Ni” sy’n edrych ar hanes pentref lleol Y Groeslon.
Local children recently visited us to ask some questions about Inigo Jones Slate Works, as part of their project ” Ein Hanes Ni” looking in to the history of the local village of Y Groeslon.

Inigo Jones yn croesawu staff Amgueddfa Lechi Cymru

Roedd Inigo Jones wrth ei fodd yn ddiweddar i groesawu staff Amgueddfa Lechi Cymru ac i ymgyfarwyddo â chynigion y cwmni.
Roedd y staff yn awyddus i ddysgu am hanes Inigo Jones ac i ddarganfod y gwahanol gynhyrchion sy'n cael eu gwneud ymlaen llaw yma yn Inigo Jones a'r dulliau cynhyrchu.
Mae Inigo Jones yn weithdy llechi a ddechreuodd yn 1861 i gynhyrchu llechi ysgrifennu ysgol ac sydd heddiw'n defnyddio'r un deunydd crai sef llechi Cymreig i gynhyrchu cynhyrchion pensaernïol, coffa, tirwedd a chrefft.
Aeth yr ymwelwyr ar daith hunan-dywys o amgylch y gweithfeydd a oedd yn cynnwys arddangosfeydd daearegol, hanesyddol, caligraffi a thorri llythrennau a oedd yn eu galluogi i ymgyfarwyddo â'r union beth sydd ar gael yma yn Inigo Jones. Roeddent hefyd yn gallu gweld yr amrywiaeth eang o gynhyrchion crefft llechi o safon y mae'r cwmni'n eu gynhyrchu ymlaen llaw ac yn eu gwerthu ar y safle yn eu hystafell arddangos fodern.
Mae Amgueddfa Lechi Genedlaethol Cymru wrthi'n cael ailddatblygiad gwerth £23 miliwn o bunnoedd.

Inigo Jones welcome staff from the Welsh Slate Museum

Inigo Jones were delighted to recently welcome staff from the Welsh Slate Musuem and to familiarise themselves with the company’s offer.
The staff were keen to learn about the history of Inigo Jones and to discover the various products that are prefabricated here at Inigo Jones and the methods of production.
Inigo Jones is a slate workshop which started in 1861 to produce school writing slates and today uses the same raw material namely Welsh slate to produce architectural, memorial, landscape and craft products.
The visitors took a self guided tour of the works which includes ,geological ,historical, calligraphy and letter cutting exhibitions which enabled them to familiarise themselves with exactly what is on offer here at Inigo Jones. They were also able to see the wide variety of quality slate craft products that the company prefabricates and sells on site in their modern showroom
The National Welsh Slate Museum is currently undergoing major £23 million pound redevelopment.

Mae Gwaith Llechi Inigo Jones wrth eu bodd yn cyflenwi matiau diod a phlaciau llechi Cymreig unwaith eto ar gyfer digwyddiadau chwaraeon Always Aim High 2026.
Mae Always Aim High yn gwmni digwyddiadau chwaraeon sy'n cynnal nifer o ddigwyddiadau yng Ngogledd Cymru sy'n cynnwys rhedeg ffordd, nofio, beicio, duathlons a thriathlons.
Mae cyfranogwyr wrth eu bodd yn derbyn eu matiau diod fel atgofion ystyrlon y gellir eu ddefnyddio dro ar ôl tro ym mywyd dyddiol neu eu harddangos fel darnau addurniadol.
Y digwyddiad cyntaf yn 2026 yw digwyddiad rhedeg 10k Nick Beer yn Llandudno ddydd Sul Chwefror 15fed.

Inigo Jones work again with Always Aim High
Inigo Jones Slate Works are delighted to again be supplying Welsh slate coasters and plaques for Always Aim High’s 2026 sporting events.
Always Aim High is a sporting events company who hold numerous events in North Wales which include road running, swimming, cycling, duathlons and triathlons.
Participants are thrilled to receive their slate coasters as meaningful mementos that can be used repeatedly in daily life or displayed as decorative pieces.
The first event in 2026 is the Nick Beer 10k running event in Llandudno on Sunday February 15th.

New Heather Blue Slate Placemats for Christmas 2025
Inigo Jones have added new heather blue placemats to their range for Christmas 2025. These placemats come in 2 sizes 270mm x 270mm and 320mm x 210mm and the slates come from the famous Penrhyn Quarry.
They can be used for placemats as well as for serving canopies or for display purposes.
They are individually hand crafted and offer an alternative to the plain blue grey Welsh slate placemats we also produce.
