A little reminder about donations ❤️🧸
We are incredibly grateful for every single donation we receive, and we know that people give with the very best intentions. However, we do need to ask that please only donate toys that are complete, safe and in a condition that another child can enjoy.
Last Tuesday evening, we received a van load of toys — which was fantastic — but unfortunately, almost half could not be rehomed.
We found things such as:
🚗 Wheels broken off
🧩 Broken plastic
🧸 Figures with arms snapped off
⛺ A lovely children's tent where half of the legs were broken.
👙 Used ladies underwear.
Please take a moment to check what you are donating before dropping it off. A quick check for broken or missing parts can make a huge difference and saves us having to sort through and dispose of items that unfortunately cannot be passed on.
We completely understand that toys get played with and sometimes have a few marks or signs of use — that's absolutely fine! ❤️
What we can't use are toys that are broken, incomplete, unsafe or missing essential parts, as we simply can't pass these on to another family.
Before donating, please take a quick look and ask yourself:
"Would I be happy for my child to receive this?"
If the answer is no because it's broken or unsafe, please don't put it in the donation.
Your donations make such a huge difference to the families we support, and by giving us toys that are ready to be loved again, you help us make sure we can get them straight back out to children who need them. ❤️
