It's World Mental Health Day 💙
World Mental Health Day is a reminder to take time to look after our mental wellbeing, and sometimes, it’s the simple things that can make the biggest difference.
Back in July, more than 20 participants took on the Castle Conquest Challenge, pledging to run, walk or cycle at least one mile every day throughout July. While the challenge was about getting active, it quickly became about so much more.
For many of those taking part, getting outdoors, moving every day and encouraging one another had a huge positive impact on their mental wellbeing.
Castle Court Centre Manager Hannah said:
“It’s also been wonderful to see the positive impact the challenge has had on people’s own wellbeing.
Spending time outdoors, encouraging one another and working together towards a common goal has created a real sense of team spirit, and some participants have even decided to continue walking or exercising at least a mile every day.”
It’s a great reminder that looking after our mental health can take many forms, and sometimes, a little fresh air, movement and a supportive community can make a big difference 😊
