A VERY SPECIAL SPONSORSHIP!

We are incredibly proud to announce that The Magic Cottage has been chosen as Connor Wheaton’s official player sponsor for the 2026/27 season at New Tredegar RFC!

Connor’s family recently got in touch with us after their 11-year-old daughter received an autism diagnosis. Wanting to help raise awareness of autism, particularly in girls, they decided to personally fund Connor’s rugby sponsorship and use the opportunity to support a charity close to their hearts.

We are truly touched that they chose The Magic Cottage. Gestures like this mean so much to our small charity and help us raise awareness of the work we do to support children, young people and families living with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions.

Throughout the season, The Magic Cottage will feature alongside Connor on his team's social media, helping to spread awareness even further.

A huge thank you to Connor, Matthew and the whole family for this wonderful gesture!

We wish Connor and everyone at New Tredegar RFC a fantastic season. We will certainly be cheering you on from the sidelines!

Little Resources, Big Possibilities!

Another Sensory Suitcase has found its new home!

On Friday 2nd October, we were delighted to welcome Rebecca from Pobl Bach South Wales CIC, who came to collect their FREE Sensory Suitcase.

It's not just about what's inside the suitcase. It's about the opportunities these resources create, the children they support and the difference they can make to everyday experiences.

We're so pleased that Pobl Bach South Wales CIC is part of this project, and we look forward to hearing how they get on with their new resources!

From sensory exploration to helping children feel calm and comfortable, these suitcases are full of resources that can make a difference to children with additional needs.

It's fantastic to know that another school now has access to these resources, completely FREE, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund!

On Friday 2nd October, we were delighted to welcome Hannah from Ystruth Primary School, who collected a FREE Sensory Suitcase!

Each suitcase is filled with a wonderful selection of sensory resources designed to help children with additional needs explore, learn and develop in ways that work best for them.

We hope the children at Ystruth Primary have lots of fun discovering everything inside!

Another delivery, another school and more children benefiting from our Sensory Suitcase Project!

This time, we headed to Caedraw Primary School to drop off their very own Sensory Suitcase, packed with resources to help support children with additional needs.

We love knowing that these suitcases are making their way into classrooms and helping to create more inclusive and supportive learning environments.

On Thursday 1st October, we were delighted to welcome Devan from Glyncoed Primary , who collected a Sensory Suitcase as part of our National Lottery-funded project.

Every suitcase is packed with carefully selected resources designed to support children and young people with additional needs, helping to create opportunities for sensory exploration, emotional regulation and learning.

We hope the suitcase brings lots of enjoyment and makes a real difference to those who use it.
