This book tells the story of a boy called Ben. Ben is being told that it is his bedtime after having his tea. Ben does not want to go to bed because his vivid imagination has been building for some time and believes that he can see a Monster sat the hill outside his bedroom window. This is a group of trees that when silhouetted by the setting sun turns into the shape of a Monster. In his imaginati

on, he believes that the Monster is now real and is talking to him. His mother who is trying to get him to go to bed grows more frustrated as Ben refuses to go to bed. Her frustration builds to the point where she starts counting 1,2,3 etc Bed! The story unfolds with the Monster growing in detail as it develops claws and scales and says that he wants to eat Ben up for his tea. Eventually Ben goes to sleep. When he wakes up the next morning, he finds the Monster has turned back into the group of trees on the hill. However, the Monster Winks disappears and lands on a hill quite near to you.

Well here I am holding an initial put together copy of the book that is currently with our publishers - we have put the book together so that my Wife Samantha can read this to her primary school classes. We get fantastic feedback on the book so this is very very encouraging.

We have also received fantastic feedback on our second book - THE HORSE THAT COULD NOT TROT. We will bring updates on this book soon. It is now with Mariah to do the illustrations. Can't wait to see these take shape.

Second post for today from the Monster - Gosh a busy Monster Day

Due to my travels, I have decided that I would like to have my international cousins read my book. I have therefore now had the book translated into
Tai;
Japanese; and
Chinese.
Three new covers have been completed for the book. These will be ready to distribute before the English version as I have a separate agreement with our publishers for these languages. If there is anyone reading this post who has experience of distribution in these countries please do let me know!
