Learn crochet skills with me on 2 February at Craft Coop Camberley.

Have you seen Amigurumi crochet kits and yearn to understand how to read the pattern to create the item? During this workshop you will learn how to read a pattern, make a magic ring, form the stitches and how to increase and decrease, making a simple ball during the workshop. Included will be a kit that you will take away with you so that you can keep referring to the photographic step by step instructions.

This is suitable for those with basic knowledge of how to do chain stitch and hold the yarn. You will leave with the knowledge of how to read an Amigurumi pattern and create the stitches, in addition to a kit containing all that you need.

I’m at this afternoon with and I’ve brought in some new items for the new year.

Table runners, crocheted infinity scarf, lampshades, fabric fat quarters and wrist warmers. I have used ’s hand dyed merino wool for the wrist warmers.

Keren from Apes Suentes!

"I'm Keren, proprietor of Apes Suentes. I live in Lightwater with my husband and daughter. I'm a DT Technician at a Secondary School, so get to be hands on at work too.

My passion for sewing started in 2018 after I attended a dressmaking course, and I started my business in June 2021 after realising that I had accumulated a rather large fabric stash and I needed to find an outlet for my makes. I joined Craft Coop shortly after in July 2021, and have been Co-Manager since February 2022.

My range of products has evolved over time, by thinking of new ways of using up scraps of fabric. For example, the odd bits left from cutting out an apron can then become carton covers and makeup wipes. There aren't many very usable pieces of fabric by the time I've finished!

I also love to crochet; water bottle carriers and fingerless gloves are my most popular creations.
