Recreating an icon! ⚽️🏆

Life-size Premier League trophy cake commissioned by to celebrate their fantastic Premiership win this weekend.

This cake stood at over 3ft tall and was covered in 150 sheets of pure silver leaf. (Not quite as valuable as the real thing but not far off 😂)

When I was a kid one of the only shows that was on telly in the afternoon after school was Countdown. In the UK as far as TV shows goes its pretty much a national icon.

I always gave the word quizzes a go but could never, EVER do the maths challenges.

The overall winner would win the much coveted Countdown teapot.

Never in a million years could I have predicted that 35 years later I would have to replicate that famous teapot in cake.Twice! 😳

The real teapot is nestled in this photo too - sadly I wasn't able to keep it as that's a privilege only Countdown champions get!
