What a week!

First off being selected as a finalist in the British Independent Retailers Association - Bira love your highstreet awards 2026!

Along with 4 days of stock take, think it's safe to say we are shattered!

But there's always time to squeeze in some crochet!

Tamzin is working on another top, using Stylecraft bambino in Grunge grey!

The apprentice showed us his cooking skills with treating us to a roast for all our hard work over the last few days!

And finally - A big shout out to Steph - who has given up 3 days of her own time to help us with counting. It's so very much appreciated and we can't thank you enough for all your help, humour and motivation to keep us going! We couldn't have done it without you. So thank you ❤️

Hey 👋🏼

This isn't Tamzin or Danielle, this is one of their regular customers who has snuck onto their socials to ask a huge favour on their behalf.

You may have already seen, but they've reached the FINAL 8 in the BIRA (British Independent Retailers Association) Love Your Highstreet Awards 2026!!!

Which is a huge acheivement, so many shops had been nominated up and down the country, clearly even the judges saw something special in their wonderful yarn shop!

I'm only writing this because I don't think they would brag enough about themselves.
I've watched them help people with nothing more than an idea in their mind go on to create something beautiful. They go above and beyond helping when it comes to matching shades, advising on hook or needle sizes, project ideas and so much more. I honestly think they don't realise just how fabulous they are some times. And this is before we think about the charity raffles and donations they do at every opportunity, and not forgetting their fantastic crochet & knitting group they run (almost) every month. All whilst being busy Mums (and vet nurses) at the same time.
I truly feel like they are such a huge part of our little yarn loving community in more ways than they would see by themselves, all in just two short years!

I would be so grateful, and I know they would be too, if you would consider voting for them please 🙏🏻

Tamzin is currently using King Cole cloud nine DK and a Kingcole crochet pattern to make this lovely baby cardigan!

I'm carrying on with this baby blanket using Stylecraft Bambino DK, I'm using an Attic 24 pattern. The Dune blanket.

We've also got the dreaded stock take coming up, so we're reducing the sale lines even more! The less we have to count the better right!
