To see what I make and what is available why not take a browse through my photo albums. In general I only make one of each item which keeps them unique but I'm more than happy to do repeats if asked and I'm also open to custom orders so if you fancy something slightly different or a different colour combination etc. then just ask - if I can do it I will ! Many items can be personalised so ideal for those special occasions

Among this lot is some multi coloured Egyptian cotton thread. Much as this is available in the UK there is a huge selection over here. I was good and stopped at 6 and have already started using one with a very thin 1mm crochet hook !

And now for something completely different and totally fascinating.

My friend had a bees 🐝 nest in her shed. Just like in the UK bees are protected here in Spain. In conversation she found out a local beekeeper lives just a few minutes away from her.

Yesterday afternoon he came over and started the process to remove and transfer them. When he removed the slats from her shed to gain access the first glimpse of the nest was a "wow" moment. It's huge !!! He reckons there were around 30 000 bees 🐝 in it and they would have taken just about 2 weeks to make it to that size. Now I understand the term "busy bee"

He put a box in there and moved the honeycomb slices into it one by one covering it with a black bag with a hole in it. If he has managed to capture the queen and she is in the box the remainder of the bees will follow her through the hole into the box. He will keep popping back until he is confident she is in there. Then he will take it back to his place where they will be transferred to their new home enabling them to continue their work.

I've attached a video and popped a photo in comments which shows where the box is now on top of the roof. This was taken later yesterday evening when we returned after going out. We are assuming this means the queen is in there with the rest of her dedicated work force !

The video was taken in zoom mode. We were relatively close but far enough away to make a quick escape if the bees got angry but they stayed remarkably calm !

Good afternoon from sunny 🌞 Spain. Yes despite the forecast the sun is cracking through. There were some fat drops of rain yesterday evening and a few rumbles of thunder this morning but 🤞it's staying away from us for the moment at least.

I'll be spending the next few days catching up on items you haven't seen yet then moving into full autumnal / winter mode when I get back.

I'm starting with these 4 resin shells on stands which can be found at . Like the hearts they contain sand & shells ftom Porthcurno.

These come in 2 different sizes and are a last minute addition to my range of beachy / ocean themed items for this year but they will be making a more prominent appearance next year

Adios amigos !

I would normally say off to sunny 🌞 Spain but the forecast for tomorrow is thunderstorms ⛈️ with an orange weather warning in place🙄. I'm 🙏it won't be too bad !
