Good afternoon everyone,

We hope you’ve all recovered from our exhibition on Saturday. It was a fantastic event and it was great to see so many people! Thank you to everyone that came and supported us.

So, now that one is done and dusted, it’s time to announce our next event! This one will be held in conjunction with our gaming club, Tuckingmill Troopers and will be an event that showcases what both clubs do, how we come together to share our hobbies and what we do as a whole.

So, without further ado, let us introduce the first event of its kind to come to Camborne, the Trains and Games Expo 2026!

There will be model railways, participation games for you to try and a model showcase, showing off single figures and entire armies!

We are hoping to get some trade support that will support both sides of the event, but we will announce that as soon as we get some traders booked.

We are really excited to be holding this event and hope that you will all come along and support this as well as you support our other events.

We would like to say a massive thank to everyone who supported our exhibition yesterday. We had a fantastic day and made enough to keep our club’s future secure for another few months at least!

We would especially like to thank The Cornish Oven for their donation of the sausage rolls which kept us all fed yesterday. We are extremely grateful for that.

We have plans for more events in the next few months, so watch this space. We hope to announce the next one within the next week or so!

Today’s the day!!

Everything is prepared! The layouts have been set up and tested. The cakes are ready and the sausage rolls are being baked as we speak!

Doors open at 10am sharp, so if you’re in the area, make sure you come along, watch some fantastic layouts, visit our wonderful traders to pick up a bargain and meet our club members!
You can do all of this while enjoying a piece of cake and a cup of tea!

All of the details are in the attached poster. I’m sure we’ve mentioned this at least once this week, but we are now able to accept card payments (minimum spend £4)!

1 day to go!!

All the preparations are now complete for our exhibition tomorrow! All that needs doing now is to get the room prepared (which we will be doing this evening and tomorrow morning!), bake the sausage rolls and cakes and we will be completely ready!
Excitement levels (not to mention pre-exhibition nerves!) are through the roof now! We’re really looking forward to welcoming you all tomorrow!

We would like to give a huge shoutout to The Cornish Oven who have very kindly donated a box of sausage rolls to us for our exhibition on Saturday!

2 days to go!!

All the preparations are now complete for our exhibition on Saturday! We are really excited now! Just a few final preparations to complete and we will be ready to go!

Today is our birthday!! We cannot believe that it has been one whole year since we first opened our doors!

In that time:

31 of you have joined us at one time or another.

We have held 2 fantastic exhibitions.

Our next exhibition is this Saturday, so we have planned 3 in less than a year!

We raised nearly £700 for charity when we held our fundraising exhibition for Portreath Pre-school!

We had a fantastic Christmas meal together!

We’ve built 5 complete layouts between us, with more being built as this is being posted!

We’re planning our first big project, which will be a layout based on our very own Camborne Station.

And most importantly, we’ve made new friends along the way!

So, I think you will agree that we have had a superb first year!

Thank you all for joining us, whether that’s been as a regular member, or you pop along when you can. We really appreciate your support in helping us to build our club into what it is now. We really couldn’t have done it without you!

Here’s to the next year (and many, many more to come!).
