Dear Friends,
The time has come to say farewell.
Concrete Surf will be closing and ceasing to operate as a dedicated skate shop.
After 3 years of service on King Street, we have been left with no other choice than to call it a day.
It really is a sad and hurtful moment in our lives, as this shop has been driven by the passion and love of skateboarding since day 1. Unfortunately we can no longer function under the current circumstances and will be closing at the end of February.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to those who shared their love with us, who chose to invest in us and include us on their own personal journey of skateboarding....
to the suppliers and supporters, to the amazing skaters we called our team, the artists, musicians and creators who shared our space and had a second home, to those who wanted advice and ideas, to those who needed a helping hand or a moment of friendship, and to those who just wanted to skate, regardless of opinions, titles, age, or ability.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and appreciate you all.
On behalf of Kym & Johnny, without whom none of this would have happened, I say thank you and goodbye.
From me, this has been exceptional and I have absolutely loved it!!! I thought that running a skate shop would be the perfect way to share my 40 years of skate history and I am proud to have been a small part of what we did here.
I honestly wish more people could have understood that and realised the value of what we brought to this community, but the doors will now close and another part of Cambridge's skateboarding culture will be lost.
