We're delighted to have these new original paintings from Hannah Forward in the gallery! We've had her original prints for years and this is the first time we are showing her paintings. We love the clever compositions and the way Hannah uses block colour to divide space.

There are more paintings to be discovered in the gallery so pop by and take a look!

Here's a wonderful photo of Alice Gare in her workshop. Alice is currently one of our featured artists in our window display.

Alice lives and works in Devon and had pottery classes as a child and has continued making ever since! She handbuilds pieces in earthenware and porcelain and uses surface decoration techniques to explore colour, texture and form. She designs transfers from her own prints and uses slips to create her unique designs!

Drawing on her rural and coastal surroundings as inspiration for both ceramics and glass, botanical references, abstract patterns and fresh vibrant colours are recurring themes throughout Alice’s work.

Created to complement our new window display in honour of Pride, Amealia Wharmby has designed a charity card and a collection of stickers to raise money for the Kite Trust who support the wellbeing and creativity of LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Amealia has named her designs Q***r Collections and is inspired by things you might find on a beach or in tide pools each item is based on a colour in the progress pride flag. 100% of profits are being donated to the Kite trust.

K Ceramics looking lovely and calming on display! Kate uses the wheel and hand building to create her pieces. She brings them to life with her carving and mark making techniques - we love how tactile they are to hold!

Here's the magical full effect of our new window display! Featuring the wonderful nature inspired ceramics of Alice Gare and the bold prints of Karoline Rerrie.

This joyful display has been created by Amealia Wharmby in honour of pride month. Alongside the window, she has also created a charity card and a selection of charity stickers for the Kite Trust.

We often get customers asking for a piece of art to remember their time in Cambridge and we always recommend the limited edition lino prints by Melissa (aka Meliprints). Melissa is based in Cambridge and as a resident of the city she captures Cambridge beautifully!
