Twenty years in the garment trade teaches you a few things. We have been behind this counter for over two decades, and before you order hoodies in bulk for your school, business or charity, here are three things he says customers always wish they'd known first.

Weight is a decision, not just a spec. 280gsm holds its shape all year, 240gsm is fine for a one-off. Know the job before you pick the colour.

If the hoodie is going to be printed or embroidered, order a size chart sample first. The chest panel on a small leaves very little room to work with.

Wash inside out at 30 degrees and the colour stays truer for longer. Works for plain blanks too, not just printed garments.

That 60°C cycle feels like a thorough clean. What it's actually doing is quietly wearing out every tee in the drum. 🌀

Hot washes break down cotton fibres faster than everyday wear ever will. The pilling, the uneven shrinkage, the collar sag we all blame on the garment? Most of the time that's machine damage, not garment failure.

Here's the fix, and it costs you nothing:

✅ Drop the wash to 30°C
✅ Turn the tee inside out before it goes in

Do that and the difference shows up fast, even on tees already in rotation. Fibres stay intact. Collars hold their shape. Colours stay true wash after wash.
