What a beautiful quote!

In Christ we are ever being transformed into His likeness. Growing in love, peace, patience, joy and the list goes on.

Knowing and becoming more fully who we are in Christ and because of Christ is a wonderful and transformative journey. The depths of His love and grace and mercy, know no bounds.

It’s so easy to let the opinions of others, or the doubts of others infiltrate our mindset.

But God never asked us to live by someone else’s faith, only our own.

When the spies were sent out by Moses to view the promised land, so many came back with negative reports based on fear and impossibility. It’s easy to judge them but honestly in my humanity I can see why! The obstacles they had to face in order to obtain the promise looked big and dangerous.

So often we expect our Christian walk to be easy because we have faith. Jesus never promised easy.

Caleb, however, despite seeing the same difficulties ahead he chose to trust in God’s word and view the future with eyes of faith.

Because of that, despite an entire generation fading in the wilderness, Caleb lived on to see his promise. (Joshua 14)

I know it’s hard sometimes, but we have to keep our eyes up, our hearts soft and our ear to the Lord in order to run our own race, because that’s a what we’ve been asked to steward.

Not everyone will understand your faith, your vision or your why, and worse some may misunderstand it completely, but we have to let go of the things that were never ours to carry, including the opinions of others, in order to carry on with obedience what God has told us to do.

It’s so easy to do isn’t it?!

Think about the Israelites! Only two came back with a positive report after spying out the promised land! One of those was Caleb and later, after a whole generation of Israelites died in the wilderness he went on to inherit his promise!

His view wasn’t popular with the others who saw with eyes of impossibility and problems. Caleb saw with eyes of faith and received his promise (Joshua 14:9-13)

People may laugh at your belief or mock you with disdain, they may not understand your choices, but you don’t need to manage or steward their faith or expectations - only your own!

Keep your eyes up and run your race!

You’re busy, I get it. You’ve only just returned to a somewhat “normal” state after chugging your cold coffee and the mad rush of the school run. Your to-do list is as long as your arm, the laundry is never-ending, and the annoying everyday adult decision of dinner looms in the distance.

It’s probably the thing we most need and one of the first things to go whilst we juggle the to-do and look after everyone else.

It took me a while to find a rhythm and a format that worked in this season with 3 young kids and everything in between, but I lost a bit of me when I couldn’t show up for myself with God.

And I’ve realised rest, connection and abiding don’t always look perfect and pristine. They don’t require the prefect time or aesthetic, just small intentional grace-led connection points.

It’s so easy to let comparison creep in. Especially in the digital age.

And that’s what the enemy wants because when we’re focused on what we’re not or even too focused on everything we are, we’re not looking up enough.

I believe in confidence and also humility, nobody wins when we shrink not when we’re falsely humble.

But the greatest place we can place our worth and identity is in the hands of Christ as we receive what only He can give. Grace, mercy, forgiveness, newness, redemption, everlasting love.

Work hard, rest well, love, play, give, live. But He is the Alpha and Omega.

Nothing you’ve walked through is wasted 🤍

Not the delay. Not the detour. Not the season that made no sense at the time.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28

September has a way of feeling like a reset button, new routines, new rhythms, a fresh sense of “okay, let’s go again.” But before we rush into the excitement of a new season, let this settle first: God can bring beauty from ashes.

We don’t have to make sense of everything right now. We just have to trust the One who does.

There’s still things I’m believing for as we enter the final quarter of 2026, how about you?

Because what we believe shapes how we show up!

It’s often one of the hardest things to focus on when life gets a little tough or chaotic. Those annoying little voices creep in that try to control the narrative with … “I can’t, I’m stuck, there’s no hope, nobody understands, it will never change, I’ve failed etc…”

That’s why we need to meditate on God’s word daily. To anchor our core beliefs and identity in something unchanging that doesn’t rely on our best or worst days. So that it’s wired inside us. So when the inevitable hard days or seasons come, we can step back and recognise how we’re feeling but have a truth greater than the moment to rely on.
