You make the library such a fun and welcoming place with your engaging displays, reading events, and those perfect book recommendations.

A special thanks for your exceptional efforts in working with me to make the book fair such a success. Your enthusiasm brought the event to life, offering LVC’s students a fantastic opportunity to find new books, discover a new creative hobby, learn about the world and deepen their love for reading. 📒Happy National Writing Day 🤓🖋

This day is an annual celebration of the power of writing creatively, inspiring people of all ages and abilities to try writing for fun and self-expression as initiated by the charity First Story.

🤯Sadly, this day is not only a day for celebration, as the National Literacy Trust warns. According to their recent 2024 research:

📕Fewer than 3 in 10 (28.7%) children and young people aged 8 to 18 say they enjoy writing in their free time - the lowest levels we've recorded.😳

📕Only 1 in 9 (11.1%) children and young people told us that they wrote something daily in their free time, halving from last year.😔
