Yesterday we were delighted to host Monisha Rajesh for a fascinating evening of discussion celebrating the paperback release of ‘Moonlight Express’.

From Austria’s Nightjet to the Caledonian Sleeper and the Santa Claus Express, Rajesh invites us on an adventure aboard the world’s most wondrous night trains. By turns romantic and hilarious, ‘Moonlight Express’ brings us along for the ride – and drops us back at the platform before sunrise.

Moonlight Express’ is one of our brilliant non-fiction books of the month and you can now find signed copies available on our ground floor! 🚂

Last stop: the Ground Floor! Here’s what you’ll find:

🛍️ Meeple Design returns with an amazing selection of gaming merch, including t-shirts, mugs, dice, coasters, and artwork.

🎲 Visit our Playtest Zone to try games still in development from local designers and publishers, including Cambridge Playtest Group, Sneaky Rascal, Wotan Games, and more. Your feedback could help shape the next great board game!

🧠 Join our Board Game Quiz at 9pm! Teams of up to 4 can compete for prizes in a fun test of board game knowledge.

🛒 Loved a game you’ve played? Head to the Games Department to pick up a copy and if you’re wearing an event wristband, you’ll earn double Waterstones Plus points on all game purchases.

After 7pm, the store will be closed to the public, with event entry and exit via the back entrance. You can also collect your scavenger puzzle prizes there.
