“My grand parents were entrepreneurs. I didn’t know it growing up, all I knew is that they leave home at 5am and come back home late. I had privileges, like leaving school during lunch to eat at the shop. It was my favourite thing to do. I also liked counting coins and putting them in those bank plastic bags. I never thought even for one day that I would have a shop.
Today we opened at Mall Of Africa. It was our first trading day. We decided to not announce it because we needed to get organised and deal with teething issues.
There were so many people who came by and said the most amazing things about the space and the brands, including the brand owners themselves. My favourite thing to hear was that the store feels like home.
I’m typing this with tears streaming down my face because, how did I get so lucky? I get to create, dream, win and take others along. It’s been hard getting here but listen I AM HERE!!! To God be the glory.

Team La Granni’s return to Sook, Mayfair to showcase their latest collection of alpaca knitwear 🦙💙

La Granni founder, Isabella Michell was born and raised in Peru until she moved to England at 10 years old. She fell in love with the multifaceted fibre that is Alpaca yarn following trips to La Sierra. Incas called Alpaca yarn “fibre of the gods” for its luxury and durable make up. La Granni was created to make pieces that are gender neutral, bold and bright.

Their second Sook pop-up was a huge success, with customers old and new ⚡️🛍️

The NHS are raising awareness about their mission to save and improve lives through blood donations in Sook, Birmingham this week.

The five day activation gives visitors the chance to find out their blood type, register to donate and learn about all forms of donation including platelets, plasma and organ.

This is a very important campaign and we are grateful to be able to work with the NHS to help amplify it. The activation is live until Sunday, if you are in Birmingham go check it out!

TikTok Shop took over Sook’s Oxford Street space to merge online and offline social commerce for the world’s first ever TikTok Shop. There was a Box Ltd F1 race competition, Virtuality Games, videography demos and product launches. Visitors were able to experience these moments in person while thousands of viewers tuned in via TikTok live stream from all over the world.

Personalisation is an important element of pop-up activations to increase customer retention.
And it can be as simple as putting a customer’s name on one of your products.

The iconic Aussie swimwear brand, Budgy Smuggler’s popped up in Sook Shoreditch for a one day activation and gave visitors the chance to design and customize their own swimwear on the spot and add their initials. The brand also hosted an evening party in the space to launch their Flamin' Good Pale Ale with beer pong and live DJ sets.

Customers left very happy with their brand new swimwear that they had designed themselves.
