With this freak March lovely hot day, we thought we would give a hot weather tip in case people are starting to look at portable air conditioning!

Air cooler vs air conditioner. There’s a big difference.

A cheap evaporative air cooler blows air over water to create a cooling effect. In dry conditions, they can take the edge off but in a UK summer, when it’s humid? They’re largely pushing warm, damp air around the room.

When we heard there was a garden called Breathing Space heading to RHS Chelsea Flower Show this summer, we had to share it.

Breathing Space is the name of a beautiful garden designed by award-winning garden designer Angus Thompson and built by his partner Dan Flynn. It was created in partnership with Asthma and Lung UK to shine a light on something close to our hearts: the importance of being able to breathe freely.
One in five people in the UK will develop a lung condition in their lifetime. When breathing is hard, nothing is easy. This garden is a reminder of what it means to find space, stillness, and a moment to just… breathe.

After Chelsea, the garden will be relocated to the Breathing Space lung rehabilitation centre in Rotherham as a permanent therapeutic space for people living with lung conditions, maintained with the local community.
