Please ensure you check the identity of anybody calling at your home before you let them in.

If you are in any doubt, take the name of the person calling and check with the Council before allowing access.

Carbon monoxide is known as the silent killer - you can’t see it, smell it or taste it. Make sure your CO alarm is working by regularly pressing the test button.

Your CO alarm will also be tested during your gas service appointment, so please ensure that access is provided for this visit.

Please don't drive on the pavement to overtake our waste and recycling vehicles.

Our collection crews work on and around the roadside to collect your waste and recycling safely. When drivers mount the pavement to get past a bin wagon, they put pedestrians, and our crews at risk.

Driving on a pavement is a criminal offence and can result in enforcement action.

Please be patient during collections. A short delay is far better than risking someone's safety.

All gas appliances - including boilers, cookers and fires - should be checked at least once every year by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
