We have two wonderful events coming up for little ones.
Emily Ann Davison will be here on Saturday for a wonderful beastly event with lots of ROARING!

Then our booksellers will be celebrating the release of the brand new book by Julia Donaldson, Gruffalo Granny. There will be a story time and colouring.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating the dazzling new YA romance novel Cut Him Out in Little Stars by the incredibly talented Lucy Strange | Children's & YA Author

Guests enjoyed having their hair styled, jive dance lessons, a photo booth, and a raffle to win a fabulous goodie bag.

The cafe created a special menu inspired by the era with delicious cakes and drinks.

We have signed copies of Cut Him Out in Little Stars for our local customers but they won't last long. Be quick!

It’s another beautiful day to read books and eat cake!
Our suggestion of the day is The Correspondent - the 2026 Women’s Prize for Fiction winner, seems like a great choice. Plus, our Rhubarb and Custard cake for super summer vibes.
We think this pairs beautifully with an elegant pot of Joe’s Red Berry tea - which we can pour over ice to match the summer vibes even more ☀️

Huge thank you to Terrie Chilvers | Children's Author for a PAWSOME event today!

There were lots of happy children (we took photos of those whose parents were happy for us to post) making fabulous superhero masks.

One superhero named themselves Cosmic Chicken Nugget. What a brilliantly bonkers name! 😊
