After appearing alongside a few other custom dreadnoughts recently, we’re back for a closer look at this Essential D Custom with its prominent oversized pickguard.

This one was inspired by a vintage guitar belonging to one of the team. It’s built with Indian Rosewood back and sides in place of the usual Mahogany, and a Sitka spruce top.

The Hop Picker has arrived at !

Josh and Dan take a closer look at our newest release. Inspired by the hop gardens of our home county of Kent, the Hop Picker is a handmade square-shouldered guitar packed with custom details, from its hand-painted pickguard sitting on a warm sunburst top to its unique fretboard inlay design.

This year turns 25, and this Saturday we’ll be joining them in the Netherlands at Fellows Festival to celebrate! 🎉

This Custom Essential D has everything you’d expect from a dreadnought, bar one key difference… can you spot it?

That’s right! It’s the soundhole — the larger one we usually keep for our White Rice models. Beyond that it’s a classic Essential D: Sitka spruce over mahogany, 45mm nut, ebony fingerboard and bridge with an open cut saddle, Heavy Aged throughout.

There’s something very… Wild West about them, don’t you think?

From Left to Right:

• Another Larry Sparks inspired D37 — Heavy Aged, double guards, Sitka top and Indian Rosewood back and sides, heading to The Acoustic Shoppe

• Essential D Heavy Aged — Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, also for The Acoustic Shoppe

• Essential D Custom — Sitka top with Indian Rosewood back and sides in place of the usual Mahogany, and a large custom guard. This one hasn’t found a home yet! (More pics coming soon!)
