Between all our stores we help dispose correctly 1 ton of used, broken and unwanted v**e devices each year
One ton does not sound much but it’s around 10,000 batteries that we are saving from being thrown away incorrectly and ending up in landfill
When a customer comes into our stores with their unwanted battery, we direct them to place it into one of our battery bins .
These bins are then collected up and disposed of through our local recycling centre at a cost to us.
Our latest drop off came to 250kg (1/4 ton), which cost us £600 but at least we know these will be recycled correctly and will not end up in landfill
