Project faun....making the head to a body I've had lying around waiting to be finished 🤪
Something a little different for me is working with polymer clay.....YUK!
Not really getting on with it but I'm persevering.
Q. Why am I not getting on with it?
As an artist, It's totally out of my comfort zone because it's not what I'm used to using in my work, but more importantly,
It's not a natural product, it won't eventually return to the ground. 😒
My senses are in over drive right now,
Texture ....ick, clammy on my fingers and not easy to wash off! Everything is screaming PLASTIC to me right now. 😭
But strangely, what I do like about it, is, it's open time, I love to day dream and often get side tracked, this can help with my creativity, as it allows my ideas and inspiration to flow the way I want it to. Evolving in my hands. So, not having to think about how quickly I've got to try to get something done before its starts drying out, is great.
The detail i'm able to produce really quickly is another surprise too. I'm using totally different tools and amazed by the results.
The other thing I'm a little concerned about is, I've got to cure it in the oven too. 😬
Overall, maybe, I'm starting to enjoy working with super sculpy polymer clay ✨️
