A little update from me 🤗
When I first began Acantha Crystals, I did so in the middle of our first lockdown, and when I was struggling with both my physical and mental health immensely. At the time, I was using a wheelchair for unexplained paralysis and weakness in my legs and immense all over body pain. I have since been diagnosed with numerous medical conditions, and many more are still being investigated, but I namely have Fibromyalgia and Functional Neurological Disorder, as a result of my PTSD and other mental health conditions.
All of this is to say, I used to be very open about my health online and in person to break down stigma, especially as I was 21 when I was diagnosed with multiple life changing illnesses.
I have slowly progressed away from this as it didn't feel professional, and I also enjoyed the freedom of not speaking about it truthfully, as these conditions govern my life day to day.
I used to struggle with my conditions a lot during owning the shop, and I would have been lost without the support I received. They were namely the main reason why I chose not to renew my lease, though as I've mentioned, I do miss my shop a lot!
Since starting a new job, and especially managing work and my pregnancy, my conditions have begun to flare up. A lot. And all of this is to say, I'm sorry that I barely share crystal content now. I do sincerely want to, and I have so many beautiful pieces to share with you; so many ideas for flowing workshops, treatments and trainings. The hope for so many live sales and website updates and events. But I just can't 🥹. Perhaps not right now.
Unfortunately I am in the midst of a bad flare up, and I will need to postpone our live sale until next Thursday the 16th of July. I hope this is okay!
