Some positive news at today's Oncology assessment.
The cancerous growths in my spleen and bowel have both reduced in size by about 50% following the chemotherapy I have had to date.
The treatment will obviously continue with a view to hopefully clearing them up fully, and surgery to remove the spleen has not been ruled out.
Definitely progress being made!

C&M Models will be open on Saturday 22nd August, from 11.00 to 13.00

All being well, C&M Models will be open on Saturday 15th August from 11.00 until 13.00.

It is intended that C&M Models will be open on Saturday 8th August between 10.30 and 12.30. If that changes, I will post here on Saturday morning.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: CAVALEX CLASS 47
The order book for the forthcoming Cavalex Class 47s will close on August 10th. If you want one of these excellent models, then please let us know by then which you require.

Please note that we will not be carrying extensive stocks of this model, so pre-ordering is recommended to secure the model(s) you want.

THURSDAY 23rd JULY: Yesterday, I spent a short time in the shop to attempt to catch up on mail order and paperwork, and it soon became apparent that I am not physically capable of attempting any kind of re-opening soon.

C&M Models will therefore remain closed for the foreseeable future.

Future opening times are not yet known, but will be posted here once we have further information. This will also mean there will be delays in sending out any items bought through our online shop, or Ebay

My treatments are likely to continue for the rest of 2026, so opening times will need to be decided at short notice.

WEDNESDAY 15th JULY: On June 25th. I was admitted to the Cumberland Infirmary to deal with severe side effects of the chemotherapy I am undergoing. Since June 25th, no work relating to C&M Models has been done, and it has taken some 20 days for me to get to a position where I have been allowed home.

Unfortunately, the hospital stay has left me rather weakened, so any re-opening of the shop in the days ahead is out of the question.

Future opening times are not yet known, but will be posted here once we have further information. This will also mean there will be delays in sending out any items bought through our online shop, or Ebay

My treatments are likely to continue for the rest of 2026, so opening times will need to be decided at short notice.

After a very difficult 10 days of chemotherapy, coupled with the heat, the shop will not be opening until at least early July. Further updates here as they occur.

05/06/2026

With my treatment starting tomorrow, the shop will remain closed until at least June 22nd. This will give me time to assess how I react to the chemotherapy, and once I know further opening times, I will post them here.
