WARNING!!
This man? Popped in to our shop asking to take over the lease as we were closing down, we gave him some details and he went off saying he'd be back in a couple of days, on Wednesday he came back in with paint and brushes and asked if he could start painting the shop, against my better judgement my wife persuaded me to let him do it, we came back next day to a shop that was wrecked, cupboards cut up, paint over carpets and flooring, my tools scattered all over the shop stuff moved around that didn't need touched, took us a full day to clean up and we lost over £150 worth of stuff that was now ruined beyond selling, he promised to re imburse us for the damage but was too cowardly to show up with the money, so I'm posting his picture in the hope no one else gets caught out by this conman

We do not close until March 2025, we've had people pop in to wish us well thinking we're going in the next week or 2, we will be here for quite a while yet. still providing the quality Shoe Repairs, Key cutting, Watch Repairs and giving the best customer service in town

Dear Customers;
As most of you know we opened our shop almost 4 and a half years ago, during what was a very difficult time for the world, not just in business but in general. We have managed to fight on through good times and bad and always done so with a smile on our faces. We have, and still do value every single one of you that has come through our doors, we've made some life long friends while working at Key Essentials, and that is why this next sentence is said with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes. As rental contracts slowly come to an end, we have decided not to renew our contract and there for will be closing the shop in the not to distant future.
As you can imagine this has been a hard decision to make for both Jim and Lisa, and one they have not taken lightly. All of us at Key Essentials want to thank each and every person we have served over this past 4 and a half years, every person we have made cups of tea for, every chat we've had putting the world to rights and most of all the friends we have made and lost along the way. We will forever be grateful for this chapter of our lives, and hope to see some of you in and around Carlisle.
At this moment in time we do not have an official closing day, but when we do, you will be the first to know. In the meantime we will be here at the store to provide the service you all know and love.
Once again we would like to say Thank You to you all, and here's to the next chapter, whatever that may bring.🙂
