We aim to offer our customers the opportunity to own and wear an authentic British made piece of classic style and lasting quality at an affordable price. Our origins lie in making traditional fishing and shooting bags, which we still make using the same methods and materials. This heritage permeates our entire product range. Our bags are made to last, using the highest quality materials obtainable. We believe that many people care about where, how, by whom and in what conditions their products are made. We also like to deal with our customers directly on a day to day basis and to offer the best customer service possible, including a renewals and repairs service. For all these reasons and more, we are committed to making our bags in England in our own workshops, which are located in our old tannery building in Tannery Road, Carlisle, Cumbria. We couldn’t spend a weekend at Goodwood Revival surrounded by some of the most beautiful cars around without having a little fun with it…

So, we matched a few of our Chapmans to their four-wheeled counterparts. Thank you to Dominic and James for allowing us to use their cars.

The classic gentleman? A briefcase, naturally.

The adventurer? It had to be a Land Rover and a Border Backpack.

The weekend escape? A Mercedes Benz 420 SL and a Chapman weekender.

And the understated classic? Jaguar Mark 2 and our ladies saddle bag.

Our final day at Goodwood - and our final show of the season. 🏁

It’s been quite a year for the Chapman team. From show to show, we’ve loved meeting so many of you, hearing your stories and seeing our bags out in the wild.

We’re ending our show season at Goodwood, but there’s still plenty to come.

Next month, Chapman is heading to London for a pop-up. We’ll be sharing all the details very soon.
