Bookends is a well-established independent bookshop in Carlisle.We also stock maps, dvds, cards and toys and have a large selection of Cumbrian books. We like to think we can order any book in print, with many titles available for next day delivery, and we will do all we can to help you find that elusive book! Our staff will be very happy to help and, even if you're not looking for anything in particular, they are always keen to chat to fellow book lovers and pick up recommendations! We're looking forward to this lovely event with Victoria Bennett...after caring for elderly parents Victoria left Cumbria to start a new life in Orkney. The memoir centres on the creation of a wholesome apothecary garden, the role of a carer, the forging of a new community and the reinvigorating powers of cold water swimming. It's a stunning read - thought provoking and full of practical wisdom and Victoria will be chatting to us all about it!
