New collection of fabrics- sweet baby animals with subtle grey/green tones. This would make a wonderful nursery set- curtains, quilt, pillows, nappy holder, Moses basket covers…… the options are endless. But not forgetting matching decorative bunting. Adorable. This was our set up yesterday in the craft tent at Keswick agricultural show. It was extremely busy and a lovely day surrounded by the beautiful scenery. But here’s a little thought, I’d like your opinion. We sell our Christmas cracker hats for £4.50- they are reversible, size adjustable and come in child or adult sizes. A woman came to the stall and asked if we would ‘do 8 for £30.00’. I said no as they were already a good price. Now, I’m happy with my response, but do you think I should have or do you think it is a cheek to ask🤷‍♀️. If we work out the cost of materials - fabric £2.00 ( there is offcuts to use on another project so I’ve reduced that cost to account for that).

And they take me 30 minute to make one.
So the material costs are £2.34.
The woman wanted to pay me £3.75 each. So that would leave £1.43 for time, thread and electric.
Now, to make it clear, I have NEVER done these calculations on any of the things we have made over the past 38 years of doing this. But it makes you think.
A reasonable ask by the woman or a real cheek?🤷‍♀️😀🌈

We now have 10 mega sized Christmas bows available. These are reversible so if you would like one, message with your choice of front and I’ll show you the reverse fabrics.
Bows are £25.00 and are approximately half a metre by half a metre in size.
There are more on my sewing machine or message and you can choose your own fabrics.
Or why not have a tutorial to make your own. Tutorials are over WhatsApp and are £10 with all the money going to Pectus Matters charity.

Busy making extra large bows as we are at Dumfries Show on Saturday. We’ve had a huge response since posting the first picture. But thought I would show you they are reversible. Been quiet on here lately as I have a big order ongoing and doing prep for 2 shows we have coming up.
But I thought I’d show you something I’ve been working on- extra large patchwork bows. These are perfect for oversized tree toppers or door decoration at Christmas. But they are reversible with a more neutral fabric on the other side to use all year around.They are £25.00. But I will take orders too so you can choose your own fabrics.

Lots of fabric newness today- the first lot of loveliness is this gorgeous collection Bluebell garden. Would make the most beautiful quilt- lots of ditsy, non directional prints, with some beautiful co ordinating dots and flowers. 100% quilting weight fabric. 44” wide. £10.00 a metre.
